The Brasshearts is a versatile band that specializes in several types of groups:

Step 1: We would love to learn all we can about your event! You can fill out a contact form under our “booking” page on our website, or we would be happy to schedule a meeting over the phone!
Step 2: When you are ready to book, we will send over a contract through our LLC that has instructions for sending the band the deposit for your event.
Step 3: We’ll stay engaged with you leading up to the event to make sure everything is customized just how you would want!

The second line band can cost between $650 and $1000 depending on the size of the band you are looking for. Second line packages are good for up a 30 minute performance and remain the same if the performance time will be shorter. Depending on the gig, the second line band be able to play longer than the usual 30 minutes, so let us know the details of the event just in case we’re able to play longer.
Basic - 5 piece brass band consisting of trumpet, trombone, sousaphone, snare drum, bass drum - $650
Gold - 6 piece brass band consisting of trumpet, trombone, sax, sousaphone, snare drum, and bass drum (our most popular option) - $750
Platinum - 8 piece brass band consisting of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, sax, sousaphone, snare drum, bass drum. This is the same band we use for our public events! - $1000

As per city law, any brass band second lining through the streets of New Orleans will require a parade permit and police escort, else the band is at risk of not only being shut down, but also fined! Yikes!
The cost of the parade permit, which is bought through the city, is $100. The cost of a police escort, which can be purchased from the NOPD, is right at $400 for parties under 150 guests.
If you are interested in acquiring a permit and escort for your second line, and would like us to handle all paperwork processing and communication with the city, we can do so for an additional parade planning fee ($100).

The bread and butter of the Brasshearts is the 8 piece stage band consisting of 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 2 saxes, sousaphone, and drum kit. This group was accepted into Jazz Fest 2022 and 2023, and features a high energy setlist of covers from nola favorites such as Rebirth Brass Band and Hot 8 Brass Band, brass band covers of your pop favorites, and the band’s own original material. Depending on the scope of the event, it can cost between $1400 to $2200 for this group to perform. This group can perform acoustically.

We offer a smaller, stationary, customizable brass band depending on the guest size and noise level of your event. This group can perform acoustically. Our smaller stationary bands come in many shapes and sizes, so let us know the requirements for the performance, and we can gladly send over a quote!

Our 8 piece cover band includes guitar and keys in its instrumentation along with the Brasshearts horns, allowing for more versatility in the band’s song list. This group is a perfect fit for wedding receptions! Note - full PA and sound will be required to book this group.
Booking the cover band can cost between $3500 and $5000 and includes the full band along with full premium sound. Variables impacting the cost of the group include travel time to the event, the inclusion of a premium lighting system, wanting to add additional members, and wanting to book performances over 3 hours.

Yes! The band can provide the add-on of a “vocal PA,” or a smaller PA only meant for MC and vocals, for an additional $75.
If you’re looking for a full, premium sound system for your event, we would work with Premier Sound Services to provide any equipment necessary. For the stage band or the cover band, it would cost between $550 and $900 depending the location of the event and if you would like a the full lighting package added onto your PA system.

To guarantee availability, we always recommend booking 6 months out from your date to ensure we can perform for your event! However, if your event is sooner, make sure to reach out regardless in case we have an opening!

Whatever you would like!
For second lines, we usually wear the traditional New Orleans brass band uniform consisting of black slacks, white button down shirt, tie, and dress shoes.
For anything else, let us know how formally you would like the band dress, as the band can wear the traditional brass band uniform, formal attire for wedding receptions or corporate events, or stylish club attire if you’re looking for something more informal.

Due to the instrumentation of the brass band, certain requests may work better than others. Let us know what you were thinking and we can let you know if we can nail it! For any special requests that are not already on our song list, and if the request can be feasibly played by the brass band, please give the band 4 weeks notice so we can work the tune into our band repertoire.
